In a Standard Zoom Classroom what happens to the Zoom interactive whiteboards that I create?
The Zoom whiteboard is not saved automatically, however, when you close the
whiteboard or click the share icon it will give you the option to send to the session participants via Zoom Chat or to email a specific person. You can choose what file type to save the whiteboard as - PDF, JPG, PNG. Remember the students in the classroom are not in the Zoom session so emailing to yourself and sharing on Moodle is a better option.
The Zoom meeting will record any whiteboard activity the same as it
would record a screen share so the students will be able to review the whiteboard activity within the session recording.
Please note that although the Zoom whiteboard is available as an option on the Zoom panel in a ZoomPlus room, the Zoom screen may not be a touch screen, in this case use the document camera to share handwritten notes. Use the lectern panel to switch to the document camera which will then be shared in the classroom and across Zoom and recorded into the session.
The Zoom whiteboard can be used on a ZoomDAVE unit as it is a flat panel touch screen. The Whiteboard option should pop up at the base of the screen on the meeting controls or can be selected from the Zoom panel beneath the screen. You can use your finger to write on the board.
