Do I need to switch on breakout rooms or cloud recording in my Zoom meeting settings - and what other defaults are set for me?
No – these settings are already on by default in a MEETING
Breakout rooms are on*
Cloud recording is on
Polling is on*
Screen sharing is on
Gallery view is on (if more than 3 people are attending). Students and the presenter can alter the view to Speaker view if preferred from the View Options menu. You can also choose to not display those attending with their camera switched off.
*You will however need to add a poll if you want to use Zoom
polling and in the meeting you would need to allocate the breakout rooms unless
you were pre-allocating with a CSV
file .
The breakout rooms button on the Zoom controls is often
hidden to the right – you may need to click the more (…) button to see
it:
