Can I reschedule a teaching event once the final timetable has been published?

No, only under exceptional circumstances. To support students to effectively plan their studies, we continue to aim for minimal changes to the published timetable.

The draft timetable is published for teaching staff and departments to review before the final timetable is published. Your Department Timetable Officer (DTO)  will let you know when the draft timetable is published, and you can review your timetable and flag any scheduling issues. The Timetabling team will review your change request and, if possible, make the changes before the final timetable is published.

Once the final timetable has been published, if an essential change is required, due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact your Department Timetable Officer (DTO), who will work with the Timetable Team to review the request.

Please be aware that:

  • Any changes to timetabled teaching events can take up to 72 hours to show in your online timetable and Outlook calendars.
  • The original event on the timetable, and in Outlook, will be cancelled. But the Zoom link will still be active.
  • A new Zoom link will be created automatically.
