During this module students will devise and perform their own five to seven minute autobiographical play
They will be introduced to a range of practical theatre making processes.
Through a series of workshops, seminars and theatre visits to the Lakeside theatre they will be introduced to the variety of stimuli and strategies that theatre makers use to create a production.
They will examine the role and value of the arts in society.
Aims
1. To develop students own their creative working methods and processes
2. To explore the role of the theatre in society
3. To develop an autobiographical play
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
1. Understand some of the processes of theatre production
2. Analyse and critically review a theatre performance and/or art exhibition
3. Work on a practical project
4. Present a creative project
5. Collaborate and/or work as a team
6. Analyse how creative ideas are developed and how they relate to audiences and social concerns
