Module Aim:
To allow experienced practitioners in the field of musculoskeletal practice to undertake an advanced assessment including the use of radiographic imaging and laboratory investigations
Learning Outcomes:
1. Demonstrate a skilled examination of the musculoskeletal system
2. Critically evaluate the use of additional diagnostic tools within the assessment of patients with musculoskeletal pathologies
3. Critically evaluate and use the available evidence base in relation to decision making within musculoskeletal assessment
Module content:
Clinical assessment of musculoskeletal conditions - integration of information from a variety of sources:
Use of laboratory and radiological investigations
Critical evaluation of neurological assessment in musculoskeletal examination
Common and important uncommon musculoskeletal conditions
Screening for sinister pathologies.
