GV250 is a module in normative political theory, defined as the study of norms and principles that should guide political societies. The principles this module will introduce you to are "principles of social justice". Principals of social justice tell us how a society should distribute resources and opportunities between individuals and groups. This module will study principles of social justice in two ways. It will look at them individually through tthe work of the most important philosophers who had defended them but it will also study the principles by examining their implications for one key issue that we will return to throughout the module: climate justice.
