The aims of this module are to:
Develop further and consolidate the students' practical skills in their chosen fields
Provide an opportunity for students to take production roles with more responsibility
Continue to develop and enhance the students professionalism in the key skills areas of:
communication, reliability and time management;
team work and management of a team where appropriate;
initiative and self-motivation;
commitment and flexibility;
organisation.
Enhance the students practical skills in the key areas of:
quality and finish of practical work;
attention to detail on practical work;
understanding different technology and materials;
management and organisation of the work environment;
management and understanding of costing and budgets;
Understanding of Health and Safety.
Consolidate the students' understanding of the importance of reflection and critical thinking
Continue to develop the students' understanding of the importance of documentation and record keeping.
