The module enables students to acquire a critical understanding of theories and practice of human resource management in the international context. The course helps to identify the impact of internationalization processes on human behaviour within organisations from an international perspective, explore key aspects of human resource management in multinational firms; understand cross-cultural dimensions of international management, and comprehend trends and challenges in the global work environment

The main aim of the module is to enable students to acquire a critical understanding of the process of recruiting and allocating human resources and their management in the international context, including the training and development needs, performance measurement, appraisal systems, recruiting talent and global leaders, developing cross-cultural understanding in the management of business process and people at work, and the management of diversity. The student will examine HRM policies and regulations in different countries and to apply them with reference to the specific nature of companies and businesses.
