This module emphasizes the skills required to accomplish highly intensive script-based simultaneous interpreting. Students will practice simultaneous interpreting based on linguistic analysis and topical knowledge. At the end of the module learning, students are expected reach the balance of reading and listening during simultaneous interpreting.
At the end of the module, students will be formally assessed on English to Chinese and Chinese to English simultaneous interpreting with provided scripts.
