The course concentrates on written and aural comprehension. Students are introduced to basic grammar structures and are encouraged to develop their writing skills through a variety of different tasks.
The course also encourages students to use self-study materials (videos, films, newspapers and magazines and television programmes from Spain/Latin America). The portfolios assessment requires students to both reflect on their learning journey and to incorporate material of personal interest.
The aim of this course is for students to be able to understand and communicate in everyday situations, using a variety of basic structures and tenses.
