Aims and objectives
French Language Portfolio is part of the Languages for All programme. It aims to provide students with:
a) an effective way to study the French language at their own pace and within their own set of priorities;
b) the ability to build up the language skills which are most suitable to their individual needs;
c) online advice and teacher feedback on completed portfolio tasks to ensure steady learning progress;
d) the basic methods and tools necessary for language learning through self-study.
The main goal of French Language Portfolio is to give students a flexible and adaptable way to increase their language proficiency.
Although knowledge of essential grammar is part of the module, students can choose to focus on either speaking/listening or reading/writing.
Through their studies and the additional language activities students also learn about life and culture in present-day France.
