Module Outline
Following the devised performance project in term one, students will start to use their physical skills on an existing play. They will experience the different challenges involved in bringing their creativity and athleticism to a more structured piece of writing.
Module Aims
To develop students' ability to experience and analyse an existing play
To provide students with an opportunity to use physical theatre skills to create and enhance character
To provide opportunities for the students to create work within the structures of a given text with a director
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the student should be able to:
Understand and use the structure of a text to create scenic momentum in a performance
Demonstrate an ability to create a physical theatre version of a pre-existing text
Demonstrate application of research to the process
Demonstrate a professional standard of physical theatre performance
Work as a professional member of a performance ensemble
