Module Description
This module provides students with a range of mathematical techniques to be applied to the solution of practical problems using MATLAB.

Module Aim
The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of the principles of a range of mathematical techniques and how they can be applied to the solution of practical problems using the language MATLAB.

Learning Outcomes
After completing this module, students will be expected to be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of MATLAB language.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of numerical matrix computation and use the basic matrix computation techniques.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of data fitting methods and use these methods.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of root finding techniques and use them.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of simulation techniques and use them.
