Over ten weeks, students will explore screenwriting creatively and critically; looking at a selection of short and feature length films and breaking down how and why they work. They will look into various techniques of structure and creating character, as well as ways to use dialogue successfully within the screenplay format. The students will also each develop their own short film screenplay.
