This module will prepare you for your final-year dissertation in Philosophy. It will support you in developing a topic, plan and bibliography. All final year students following BA schemes in Philosophy, including those on Study Abroad variants, who have to take PY426-6-SP: Philosophy Dissertation or who choose to take PY426-6-SP: Philosophy Dissertation are required to complete the Dissertation Preparation Module.
Aims
The aims of the module are:
* to prepare students for the required Philosophy dissertation (PY426-6-SP);
* to allow final year students to conceive, develop and propose an extended piece of research based on a topic which they have chosen themselves;
* to produce a clearly defined topic, a research plan, and a bibliography of key texts.
