Introduction to Management is a broad-ranging module which is intended to provide a foundation in the most significant issues in management theory and practice, as well as to prepare you for management courses in subsequent years of your degree.

In order to pass this module, you must pass the final exam with at least 40% and the aggregate (coursework and exam) module mark with at least 40%. The coursework weighting is 60% and the exam weighting is 40%.

Coursework consists of:

- An in-class test with multiple-choice questions and some questions requiring short written answers. This will take place in week 22, with feedback in week 25 (weighting 30%).
- An in-class case study/report, which will take place in week 29, with feedback in week 32 (weighting 35%)
- An essay in week 34, with feedback in week 37 (weighting 35%)

Final Exam:

One 2-hour exam undertaken in weeks 40-41
It is a closed book examination covering all topics studied during the module. It may consist of multiple-choice questions (theory and practical), short answer theory questions, and essay and practical problems.
